Intermission: BNSF Action @ Franklin Canyon

It's time for an intermission in the midst of our product development work! Here are some action shots from my slides - all taken near Franklin Canyon in Feb. 1997. The first photo is an eastbound BNSF local with 3 units pulling 2 cars - giving it a really nice HP to tonnage ratio.  Quickly following on the heels of the overpowered local, is an eastbound BNSF intermodal train lead by GE C-40-8W no. 877 and EMD SD75M no. 218 still in the awesome ATSF warbonnet paint scheme.  Enjoy!

Paint Chips for Northern Pacific Loewy Green!

Our Northern Pacific Railway Color Drift Control Cards arrrived at Wheels of Time design studio.  Looking forward in making our N-scale Northern Pacific heavyweight bagggage-express car in proper shade of paint. NPRHA paint chips made available for modelers and manufacturers are the way to go . . . wish more railroad historical societies will do likewise.

Action @ EL's Croxton Yard in 1976

I thought i post this interested photo of Erie Lackawanna's Croxton New Jersey yard taken in 1976 by Bob Malinoski - from Paul Brezicki.  It shows Erie Lackawanna SDP45 leading a trainload of New York City subway cars. A PC-90 Piggy-Packer bottom lifting a 40-ft container and a P-70 Piggy-Packer getting into position.  Behind the EL train looks like a Santa Fe 100-ton RBL box car.  Interesting stuff.  Thanks Paul for sharing!
